I think they have launched it silently.

Saw a similar example in Mumbai yesterday already registered and had an after market body on it.

Actually the Ultra is not the direct successor of 407. The tonnages are starting from 7 for Ultra going up to 11 for now and it is available only in the LP (fully forward) avatar and not the SFC (semi forward cab) as is the 407.
407 FL is a major one comprising better exteriors as well as some changes for interiors as per new CMVR norms. I was hoping it would launch on the 25th anniversary in Oct 11 but we all know TML's delivery of new products

Yes I know; I didn't mean to be exact. However, 407 uses a 3 litre engine and so does Ultra, although with a much higher power rating. Also 407 had ceased to be a 4-tonner in 1988 itself when its GVW was increased to 5.3 tonnes. The original tonnage 407 has now been relaunched as 407 PICK UP I guess.

Be careful with your statements considering that you work there! What do you do at TM?

Though both of them are 3L, the one on Ultra will provide much higher power as its tune is different.

My FB friend Mr Abhishek Kushte, of Ratnagiri (Mah), has spotted this face lifted Tata 407

Guess Tata will now start Tata Plastics (TPCO), rather than Tata Steel (TISCO)!

These have started appearing on the roads now.
Interestingly, 407 refresh features banjo type rear axle.
