I caught this test mule on my way back from office. Looks like it is new Winger from the profile.

It had some tech problem and test team was talking to someone over phone.

When asked them for details they said it is Mahindra vehicle and is a 5 seater:uncontrol

Asked for permission to take few close pictures which they politely declined

It look like the Force version of the Merc sprinter.

Pics have been watermarked.

It had MH 14 TC 1X8 (Pimpri-Chinchwad RTO)number plate.

I think that looks like a foce motor product...testing their viano
or vw testing thei van

Force is reportedly working on localising Viano with Merc power train. This could be Viano's scoop.

The overall volume of the vehicle & ORVM (outside rear view mirror) hints that, its a first generation Mercedes Benz VITO. And VIANO is a second generation of VITO.

Force Motors is testing a First generation VITO. The wikipedia link below shows some hints on the Tail Lamp and the ORVM. I guess its only a grille & bumper redesign, because the scoop images reveal the same first generation VITO headlamp

Yes, they are. It's codenamed the T0 and will be available in 5+D, 6+D and 8+D variants with revised front & rear styling. It's expected to hit the showrooms in about a year.

Moved to a new thread

Yes, it appears to be the first generation V-classe (W-638) shown below. The pic shown by motorbeam is the second gen.

The sales figures of Ertiga seems to be drawing other manufacturers into this segment :D

Just hope its a good looker with decent power ratings and a worthy price tag.

Hope TATA does some changes to the "Venture" and markets it properly. Opportunity definitely lost here inspite of having the lead.

These type of MPV's are hugely popular in the tourist circuit, particularly in countries like Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.

However plush ride comfort is not something to go gaga about in silky smooth roads even in a Merc MPV compared to sedan cars, but with easy ingress and egress tourists find it most convenient than other MPV's like the Evalia or Enjoy.

I hope Force motors doesnt load this one up with tacky plastics and weird colors seen recently on the Gurkha.

Yes, Tata must updated the Venture and put in a CRD engine in that asap.

In my opinion, I think this one is going to be a still-born baby. Its stuck in no-man's land, its too big for personal use and too small for tourist operations. Its neither an INNOVA nor a TEMPO TRAVELLER

Spotted today the same vehicle in campus of Bosch today, heavily camouflaged even within the campus. The vehicle had a good pickup on acceleration, albeit for a plume of black smoke from its exhaust. By afternoon, the plume had disappeared. Looks like the Engine management is being tuned. However could not have a look at the insides or meet the testing team. Will post the details soon.

Dimension wise should be very close to the Tata Winger, that was also based on a 90s European van (Renault)
