November 2013 Launches from Ashok Leyland

AL seems to be in a launching spree! Saw these models on offer:

3118il Super

Finally, a direct competition to the TM 3118c, with a pusher lift-axle.

180hp, 660Nm, H-Series engine and ZF 6-speed OD gearbox

1612il

120hp, 415Nm, H-series 4-cylinder engine and ZF 6-speed OD gearbox

Boss range (912 LE, 913LX, 1112LE, 1113LX, 1212LE, 1213LX)

This, IMO is the most stylish and contemporary range. All of the LE ones are powered by the same H-series 4 cylinder engine with inline FIP (120hp, 415Nm), while the LX ones are powered by H-series CRS engines (130hp, 450Nm) and come with Leymatic AMT as standard, in addition to an airconditioned cab.

I wish these Avia derived AC cabs find their way to the HCV range as well.

Now the wait for Partner and N-truck begins

EDIT:
I remember seeing a couple of BOSS trucks on the L&T bypass, Coimbatore. They looked mean and zipped past without any drama at a good speed. The headlamps are really bright and blinding too

Good Sir, are you sure it is a 3718? I thought the government made it sure to have 5 axles for 37 tonnes and 4 axles for 31!

I saw 4 Boss trucks on 2 Ashok Leyland trailers at Angamaly today morning. They look great!

My mistake. It's a 3118 Super. I stand corrected
