ET reports says that Tata Motors will roll out a new range of cheaper trucks.

The new models to hit the road over the next few months and they will be launching 12 new trucks in the Prima LX range.

• They will be stripped down version of the Prima range
• New models to be 20% cheaper.
• No frills - no AC cabin, music system or adjustable seats
• The market will be aimed at AMW, Mahindra Navistar truck range.

So basically a Prima shell and a Cummins engine will be sold.
Why will anyone want to buy that when a capable product is offered by TML themselves in the form of 4018/4923 albeit with less power.
I don't think people who think Prima looks stylish have any power in the buying decision (read the Drivers).
Lets see if this revives the beautiful Prima range at all.

They just launched 10 new Prima LX trucks today;

Six new models of the Prima LX in the cargo segment –
Prima LX 4928.S SRT,
Prima LX 4928.S HRT,
Prima LX 4028.S SR,
Prima LX 4028.S HR,
Prima LX 2523.T and
Prima LX 3123.T.

In tippers, four new models –
Prima LX 2523.K,
Prima LX 2528.K,
Prima LX 3123.K and
Prima LX 3128.K
