A 100 BHP Bajaj Auto Rickshaw - 600cc CBR engine!

Colin Furze, a plumber, stuntman, inventor, and filmmaker from Stamford, Lincolnshire, England put an 600cc CBR engine in a Bajaj Auto.

Quote:
So to celebrate the release of Far Cry 4 i thought i'd take something in the game and make it a reality which is driving a Tuk Tuk and shooting stuff but it seemed a waste to leave the wimpy 150cc moped engine in it so here we have a nice CBR600 100bhp lump to wedge in
He has build a lot of contraption like these, follow his youtube channel for more information.

Even I have dreamt about such a contraption, just to tease people on the highway .

Never thought I would say this but then this is one 'desirable' auto rickshaw which I would want to drive

Holy moly!
Simply awesome. Imagine cruising on the GQ at 120 kmph and you hear an I4 whine in the distance. You still continue with your business and then you see an auto in your RVMs. Before your brain could process the amount of anomaly sent through your eyes, the auto rips past and leaves you in dust!
Mind blown! Jaw dropped!

Adding to that, imagine the overtake happens on two wheels. The auto doing a wheelie! It would be fun just to take this around just to see reactions.

Man that guy is crazy. Have been watching his YouTube videos from someone and I envy him. Wish I had a shed like that in which I could do all such stuff. One thing that he stands out is his models are built with a professional touch and not jugaads like what we see here. Even for this model he has executed it in a beautiful manner. Didn't expect the engine to be so huge that it will protrude out of the passenger seat.

Adding a roll cage was a good and a necessary thing to do.

Imagine what would ensue if our autowallas get a hold of few of these machines, scary!

That's an amazing transplant. It'll leave jaws permanently dropped to the floor when this thing goes by.

The video detailing the whole thing is superbly done too. He's made a very complex engineering procedure with a lot of detailed planning look simple!

This is the most outrageous idea ! Reminds me of the Wile-E Coyote strapping his arse to an Acme rocket !!

Has he tried running this on road. I have seen our autos topple due to auto wallahs taking a turn too 'fast'. Imagine what will happen at a 100 kmph with three puny wheels.

I don't think so. Again he has a great amount of common sense. That's because

1. The tyres he used are wider, and they are having an outward offset which betters the stability.

2. In a normal auto, the center of gravity is higher because majority of the weight is of the driver and passengers while the puny engine doesn't weigh much. In this case, the monster I4 engine is bolted to the lower half of the body which will keep the CG low. Of course we cant expect to be a go kart but wayy better than the original auto.

3. Keeping safety in mind, he fabricated his own roll cage.

Of course nothing close to being road legal, but this guy has ended up with insane creations. He even powered his van using a pulse jet. So yes we can not expect him to mess up the basics.

For those who don't know, while building a jet engine, he ended up burning his hand since the fuel leaked and caught fire. It was a scary scene to watch but he made a video out of it too And yes he continued the project once he recovered.

That is awesome. Now let's see him corner that thing at 100 kmph

Will be a very rough ride. Notice the rear suspension has been done away with.

Re: A 100 BHP Bajaj Auto Rickshaw - 600cc CBR engine!

This is crazy..too much crazy. First gear will sure provide a wheelie for the poor vehicle.
Am wondering how he is going to manage this whole 100bhp?

Re: A 100 BHP Bajaj Auto Rickshaw - 600cc CBR engine!

Excellent work but I dont expect him to clock anything above 90kmph in that. The auto is very unstable aerodynamically. Given this guy for sure knows a thing or two about vehicles, I doubt he would even try such insane speed on this. But then, you never know, he is crazy enough to put a 100bhp engine in an auto, so he might as well manage the aerodynamics
