I think this is nothing but the Tata Venture without a Cab shell and some modifications to carry load.

Assuming that this vehicles engine is BSIII, it could be the one used in Vista TDI and Tata Venture.

I think its the CR4 motor otherwise they will have issues in getting it registered in many regions.

Re: Tata Motors launches Super Ace Mint at Rs. 5.09 lakh

Seems to be the 'premium version' of the Ace. IIRC, the Ace Zip is the base and costs under 3 lakh rupees. This vehicle is the default choice of small businesses in India. I don't have the latest numbers, but remember the Ace selling 8,000 - 9,000 units in some months of 2014. Down on 2013 volumes, but the recent budget which pushes rural reforms should only see such small CVs in huge demand again.

Looks really nice in the picture provided. With 69 horses, it should be a quick pickup too. With a kerb weight of 800 odd kilos, it'll accelerate faster than some underpowered hatchbacks I know . This variant though is rather expensive though. Isuzu launched the more substantial D-Max @ 5.99 lakhs last year!
