Etihad Cargo - the logistics arm of Etihad Airways has launched a luxury car shipment service called FlightValet. It is designed to ease the process of transporting high-value vehicles across the globe and simplify the customer's booking experience.



According to the airline, there is a surge in demand for luxury vehicle shipments to popular destinations every year, usually during the holiday season. FlightValet has a dedicated team that oversees the delivery of customer cars to their final destinations. It will also cater to racing enthusiasts who would wish to ship their cars to Abu Dhabi's Yas Marina Circuit.

The service is also available for car dealers and manufacturers and will cater to the Italian supercar market at Milan Malpensa airport on Etihad Airways passenger, chartered or scheduled freighter aircraft.

In 2017, Etihad Airways had launched a similar service called FlyCulture to transport high-value products including artworks and musical instruments all over the world.

I think this is going to be very popular with the Arabs when they traditionally move to London every summer. The place gets flooded with supercars, and young Arabs breaking free from the strict norms of their nations.

Just wondering if billionaires have stopped moving their cars around the world with the rise of Supercar Rentals - they are very popular in the west and a lot of new companies have mushroomed in the recent years. Bet it's cheaper to rent a 458 for a week or two than have your own Ferrari transported to the holiday destination.

Nope.

The whole point of owning a supercar for many is showing off (unfortunately).

And many would need their own cars as a regular Ferrari or Lamborghini is not enough in many places (like London). This service might mainly be for Arabs shipping their cars to London/south of France. Most of these cars will be extra rare (like a LaFerrari or P1), will be wrapped or will have a body kit or custom exhaust to stand out.

So, a regular supercar on rent will not be enough for them. And for these guys, money is not an issue.
