1 ton TATA ACE

Tata Motors working on a one ton version of Ace, the vehicle could possibly have a greater ground clearance, increased torque & power. Any news / pics of this new Ace caught testing ??? I hear the launch date is quite close …. Any update from you guys?...Specially Tushky!!!...Hehe

Cousin spotted this in Pune bearing WB registration. Not sure if this could be the new Tata Ace manufactured in the Singur plant.

Looks good. The emblem part is tad more oval to be a tata.

Seems to be some competitor at work here. The A-pillar, antenna, sun roof, headlight, wipers, rear view mirror, grille, bumper, cargo tray, etc. appear to be different from the proposed new Ace. Don't they?

Mahindra rival

Yes, it looks like that to me too. Could be a possible rival to the Ace from the Mahindra stable. Mahindra's three wheeler division (esp. the good carrying versions) must be feeling the pinch from the Ace's runaway success.

Whats the status with the launch date?
Im looking to replace the bajaj tempo junk with the Tata Ace. It would be better if the new one is available.

Can you please share with us how you came to that conclusion (any pictures of a similar mini-truck from the Mitsu stable?)? In my opinion, Mitsubishi wouldn't have a grill with an oval surround.

It can be premier automobiles readying competiton for hugely sucessful Tata Ace.

OT: i once saw "tata ka baccha" written on the backside of a Tata Ace.

After TATA ace, piaggio APE has come. Mostly all these are cute looking with good load carrying capacity. Lot more to come in this segment since all small time transports are mostly being seen on these kind of vehicles now

This is the small truck from Asia Motor Works (AMW) if I'm not mistaken.
