I have seen Renault and John Deere 4x4s in Hoshiarpur alone. Another Renault at nearby farm of Sonalika.

I think its definitely a Messy Ferguson as per the 3-spoke steering very common during 1975-80 & design of headlights.

Most probably a Belarus...see the picture here:
"A good used tractor with 42 hp, 4WD, cab in good condition"

Belarus Used Tractor Manufacturer exporting direct from Canada

3-spoke steering, red color, similar-looking grille.

OT: What is a portal wheel?

Many manufacturer made tractors with this type of wheel configuration.

Also i wanted to share this. There is actually a world's biggest farm tractor called Big Bud 747.

Tractors make for the best offroaders ; whenever we get stuck on an organised OTR, a 2WD tractor is our saviour. They seem to claw into slippery terrain like no other.

I can only imagine the offroad potential of a 4WD tractor!

+1, nothing can beat a tractor in traction that's why it's called a tractor. Back in my Army days in Rajasthan whenever our mighty 4x4s used to get stuck in the loose sand the local villagers and their trusty HMT Zetor tractors were summoned to pull us out!

I have 10 acres of sandy soil in Portugal, and an 80hp 4wd tractor.
Does it have grip?
I pull trees down with it. Trees about 30cm diameter.
in deep mud, sometimes it will bog down in 2wd, but shift into 4wd and it walks right out.
I didn't really want 4wd, but bought this machine because it was in my budget and had a good front end loader on it.
I'm very happy for the 4wd now.
