Sleeper coach - Not in train; in BUSES

Expereince the new sleeper coach buses that ply between Pondichery & Bangalore. Not sure how many passengers it can accomodate.

Its been there for a long time atleast between cochin and bangalore(also b/w BLR & goa).There is even a volvo sleeper ,its a surprise as volvo B7R comes factory fitted with seats.

I am not sure about there, but such buses are plying in Maharashtra for long time. (At least last 5 years or even more). Have travelled a few times in such buses and I must say, they are absolutely comfortable. One should try to avoid upper birth though. With body roll at high speeds, it becomes particularly uncomfortable.

I am not exactly sure how many, but it certainly varies with models. Some of them have sleeper births along length, while some have along width. Second type will also have some regular seats.

I guess, they would have a capcity of around 28-36.

these kind of buses are very popular in AP ...
we have around 80 sleeper coaches in HYD based travel companies itself
around 20 go to Shirdi , around 20 leave for Mumbai n around 10 leave for Bangalore , around 5 leave for Tirupathi and Visakhapatnam each and others go on other routes ...
they accomodate around 20 passengers ... i did travel in them twice to Shirdi ...

yeah,

the sleeper buses have become very common.

but the first buses that i did see was on the maharshtra-rajasthan/gujarat route.but its really frightening to travel in them with their high CG's

now have been seeing a lot ofsleeper coach b7r's from pune to rajasthan

Bangalore Calicut run had this since past 5 years or so.

yeah the sleeper buses are a very common sight these days and all the major private bus groups have some of the sleeper additions onto their stable including their volvo buses.
