Some cool facts about Trucks from the Mahindra Navistar 2010 Calendar

I received the Mahindra Navistar 2010 calendar in mail but didn't quite check it out till now. I checked it out by chance yesterday and found it really interesting.

There are some very cool facts about Trucks in the Calendar like the origin of the term "Horn Ok Please." I always thought that Horn Ok Please is just a way of saying, "Please blow the horn before overtaking, Ok." Now I know it is not quite what I thought.

Here are the scans.

Its such an eye-candy of a term. Especially if it is combined with the signature quotes of truckwala's like "mera Bharat Mahaan", "Phir kab miloge" or "Sau mein se assi baimaan, phir bhi mera Bharat mahaan". I guess it holds so much importance and nostalgia that no truckwala wants to leave the tradition.

cool facts
I remember when I was a kid, I used to ask my father what 'Ceat' means
it was written on almost all autos plying then
my father was not aware of it and he used to tell me
maybe it is the name of the company which makes autos
later I came to know the reason
many words we use have interesting history
nice to know about Horn Ok
thanks for posting this

My father used to work in a company called Presstech Industries that manufactured small metal parts for Mahindra. The factory has shut down now but my father keeps getting promotional material from Mahindra.
