i googled for it just before creating this thread & i came to know about following .
Quote:
Airport Surface Friction Tester (ASFT) is a high-tech company that has been working with different surface friction measuring instruments since 1991. ASFT products are fully approved by FAA, ICAO, and UK CAA CAP683 for unrestricted operation on aerodromes.
ASFT is a world-leading manufacturer of different continuous friction measuring equipment (CFME) which was approached by Saab Automobile and General Motors (GM) to manufacture and market the original Saab surface friction tester (SFT). This was a challenge that ASFT took on with great success.
Today the ASFT Saab SFT (the original SFT) is a well-proven CFME that is known around the world for being user friendly and reliable when it is needed the most. It has been equipped with the latest ASFT Mk IV rear-axle and computer system. These systems have been developed with the utmost care, using feedback given from more than 250 users around the world.
ASFT

here are some googled images for saab.

I am not sure but may be Auto India or some other magazine covered an article of Ahemdabad Airport Authority getting SAAB for some reason (I think for Runway quality purpose) some 7 -8 years back. But this one looks pretty new.

Oh yes, this was featured. It was used by the AAI to test the smoothness and flatness of the runway. It has a retractable 5th wheel too.

the truck had GJ 06 xx xxxx reg. no.
the car is old gen Saab & i don't think these equipments are used roughly , so it can be 3~4 year old one.(they are maintained very well)

Considering that the marque has gone under, getting parts will be a major challenge.
