I spoke to Mr. Pradeep during one of my visits there and he's the one who had said it won't go! I'm unsure why he said that though. Good to know you were able to get stains removed.

Just did this and it worked beautifully, the stain/residue is almost completely gone now. Slight traces are left, but I am sure that with another session of the same procedure tomorrow or day-after would completely remove it!

The best way to remove sticker stains is petrol. :D

Put a little petrol on the soft cloth and slowly rub it off

Awesome. I need to try this around the VW badge on my car as well. I tried just about everything to remove the glut around it.

Btw, I don't have anything sticking to the body of the car :D. It reamins squeaky clean after getting the CQuartz application done. All it takes to remove any foreign substance is a nice smooth whisk of the microfiber to dust off. Shiny White!! Glassy clap:

Does anyone know how to remove jamun (fruit) stains from the painted body ? The purple marks are indeed stubborn and are not letting go. More so on the bonnet. I am afraid of straining the car if I rub too hard with a a wet cloth. The stains are about 48 hours old.

Try WD40. Spray it on the stain area and wipe it with some soft cloth. It should take care of that.Once the stains start coming off just wipe it off with a damp microfiber cloth.You can get the small can for just 60 bucks. I keep one in my car cause it has so many uses.

I tried last night on a small patch. The splash stains are still not going off. One of my neigbourhood accessories shop suggested doing a wax buffing which he said will surely get these off. Still unsure if it is worth the effort and the cost also (approx. 1200)

wow...wd40 usually works for me ,even the holi colors went away after i had used it more than a week later. On a side note i wont be parking under a Jamun tree from now on. Will he be charging 1200 just for the patch or the entire area. I am not sure if wax buffing can help in taking the stains away.

Just watch out for paint removal with acetone - it's powerful stuff. Petrol dissolves most things which acetone does, without the same risk. Acetone is the business for glass, though.

It even will perform the performance and economy of your engine, petrol or diesel. Tests have shown a diesel does best with 0.15% by volume acetone added, about 0.25% in a petrol.

THe accessories guy quoted 1200/- for the the entire car but now I have parked my decision to do it as I was advised against it by Renault service. They assured that they would take care of it during the 1st service (at a price of course) which is anyways due in 10 days. BTW white vingear is effective but it is taking ages to clear it and does not clear the stains totally.

During the first service, this issue was resolved by the 3M adviser who did a "step 1" treatment and the body is back to normal. The entire process took over 4 hours but it was a decent job. He first did a test on a small patch before proceeding.

Hi all. I haven't posted in a long time. I just bought a new Altis pearl white petrol automatic top end model. It had been a long 5 year wait for the car.

Everything was going good but when I got the car refueled from HP, the next morning a yellow line developed just under the area where the fuel is filled.

I called the toyota sales person who handled me during the sale, and he advised some rubbing. The mark went away after some rubbing.

Now after that I thought it could be a one off incident and advised my wife that I ll handle the refueling next time onwards.

But as luck had it I was not in town and she got the car refueled, this time from Indian Oil. When I came back the next day a bigger and more permanent mark was left on the car.

Now I have taken the car to the showroom and they are saying that this is a one off incident and it may be due to some additives mixed in the fuel. They tried to remove the mark by same the rubbing and buffing but in that process the eight layer paint has chipped along the petrol tank and they are saying that it requires re-paint.

Now I don't know what to do, my car is just 20 days old. They had clicked pics and send to TKM (Toyota Kirloskar Motors). As per TKM it is due to the fuel and there is nothing wrong with the paint.

One mistake I did was not to take pictures. Need advice on how to go forward. I stay in Bangalore and bought the car from Viva Toyota near Hebbal.

I am feeling really helpless.

That's sad. However, it doesn't seems too critical. Even if that needs a re-painting, you just need to paint the rear left panel between the tail lamps and the rear door. My best guess is that it will cost you 5K or less

Since, the Showroom chipped your paint off trying to remove the yellow mark, they should ideally accept the responsibility to get it repainted.

This is a common problem on white cars, samething happened to my RS5 which too is white. Over a few weeks the stain will go away if you get your car washed regularly. If you want to speed up the process take it to a good detailer in your city and have them treat the area affected.

I have this stain on my car and I don't know where it came from. What's the simplest effective way to get rid of this? TIA
