Looks like hard water stain especially when parked in the basement of an apartment for extended periods of time. Get a polish job done with any decent detailer. Should go away.

Have tried baking-soda + lime/vinegar mix and WD40 for hard-to-remove stains (bat droppings after parking the car overnight below a peepal tree, for want of covered parking during a recent trip), and have got very positive results without getting paint/bodywork damage. Would suggest either of this, but a prior trial application somewhere discreet maybe good to ensure this.

Edit: forgot to mention- no abrasive/hard brushes used, only rubbing with bare hands + microfibre/cotton cloth.

After the recent "Vaahan Pooja" on my White Tata Nexon XZ+, wherever the sandal paste and Kumkum was applied, I am able to see a Yellow spot. I tried to remove it using lemon but it didn't go off. Then I tried to remove it using Petrol. But it didn't even fade a bit. And the sad part is that the spots are there on all doors.Is there anyway to remove it?

I have good luck removing such stains with Motomax 2k rubbing compound.
Similar thing happened on my Nexon but it is Glasgow grey color and not readily noticeable.

Funny but someone just suggested to use regular Colgate and he applied on the mark and abracadabra, the mark completely got vanished.
Now I'm just wondering if Colgate uses such hard substance then what does it do to our teeth :(

Well Colgate is just like a fine rubbing compound, but its only for our teeth. Take a small dot and try to feel it within your two fingers, you will feel the slight roughness.

All rubbing compound do the same, take away a very fine layers from the top when rubbed around. But goo to know it has worked to take away those marks :thumbs up

Hello guys. There are some dripping muddy water marks on the body of our Kia Carnival especially on the fibre parts which did not get cleaned even after servicing at Kia Service Centre.

The Kia Service centre manager said that they cannot use diesel to clean it since its a water based paint and that we should do a wax treatment next time to clean it costing about 3500 Rs.

Is it really so? Is there any other solution?

Got these hard water marks on my Blue Ecosport.

Any suggestions to remove them safely?

The options that seem promising are:
1. Lemon+Tamarind combo
2. Colgate

Any other ideas? I've got the 3M Car Shampoo. Could that be of any help?

Invert the Lemon Peel and gently rub on the hardwater stain. It works. Use the lemon juice to refresh yourself .

Some of the hard stains can be easily removed using a Rubbing Compound.

A few days back I drove over a newly built road and got my car side sprinkled with coal-tars. It is very difficult to remove with soap-water or anything else.
However, the rubbing compound did the magic.

This is not at all a costly item and sells at Amazon/online at Rs. 90 to Rs. 100.
Would recommend others to keep one for any tough stain removing purpose.

I had transported my car from Hyderabad to Chennai and they had left it under a Jamun tree. Car arrived with multiple Purple stains all over.

The combination of rubbing lime over the stains followed by rubbing with soap water solution did the trick and managed to remove all the stains.

I had the misfortune of parking in an underground parking slot which had a leaky and dripping ceiling. That has left a stubborn and very ugly white colored stain on rear windshield and boot lid. I suspect the stain to be from white limestone. Tried the toothpaste method but that didn't work. Did anybody face this and manage to get rid of stain

I had a similar experience with leaky ceiling on grey colour honda city.
Tried multiple ways
Tried washing with shampoo - no use
Tried traditional lemon method - 2 lemons wasted and slightly it reduced
Finally read about and researched online found it to be calcium carbonate or some alkaline deposit which will go with acid( so lemon helps its acidic)
Finally my own DIY - used lysol and it worked like charm
