Thanks for this, I got a preowned GT Tsi 3 weeks ago and the missing armrest was a sore point, got my hands on the GTI armrest and thought of doing my first ever DIY

This guide was perfect and managed to install this today without removing the whole console. the clamp was a tough squeeze but managed to get it in within 10 mins. I would seriously suggest anyone doing this to be careful cause of the risk of breaking the console.

Some pics, while most of the procedure is covered in detail and also the fb link has a step by step here is what it looked like on my install.

Super excited with this as this being my first DIY and was a successful event without any hiccups. Hoping to be inspired a lot of you and doing more such fun tweaks!
