joeblack, Congrats for the innovative and cheapest Smartphone holder there. I am sure it must have cost you as much as few chocolates only.

Just wondering if while the storage box lid is open, does it block your view while driving. Last photo seems to be taken from divers seat and it is considerably blocking the view.

It doesn't block the view, the last photo angle is way below, when you are driving the open lid doesn't block any view.

I took inspiration and made a stand for the Nexus 7. I made a notch for the lid to clip on to. So there is no movement of the lid.
