Made a simple video on changing the cabin filter inside the Grand i10. If your AC has got reduced air flow lately then the cabin filter is surely choked. It is always recommended to replace a paper filter than trying to clean it.
I bought an aftermarket filter for 260 odd rupees in the video, the one from authorized service center will cost 550++.
Online link to buy a premium just as good as OEM filter (Pictured below):
http://amzn.to/2lUaS7y Benefits:- Cleaner air that is free from dust.
- Efficient use of AC
- Cheaper than going to ASC
Tools required: None
Steps to change:
1. Empty glove box and press towards inside on sides marked and let the glove box hang low. The cabin air filter is located under the head unit area.
2. Remove the air filter securing plastic clip marked in red and pull out the choked filter.
3. Put the new filter inside and close the plastic cover ensuring its secured properly. Ensure the pulling tab is at the bottom while placing the filter inside.

Comparison of a choked filter thanks to Delhi vs a new one bought off amazon. I would definitely recommend this over the cheaper variants as quality is quite good.

Thread moved from the Assembly Line to the DIY Section. Thanks for sharing!

Surprised to see that the i10 comes with a cabin air filter while my 2014 Verna makes do with a mesh :Frustrati

You can install paper ones if you feel you need better filteration. Or get a HEPA one that will work like a air purifier for pollutants.

Actually no. This is what the Fluidic verna filter looks like

There is no paper or HEPA that will fit in it's place. You can do jugaad, which is what I have done but there is no direct replacement.
Hi.
recently cleaned and replaced the cabin filter in our car. The process is very simple, and I documented in a video.

On a side note, I have been using Boodmo.com website for a while now for my part needs, they are quite good. Especially I like they maintain detailed catalogue of car parts section wise, which even helps me to gain more knowledge about my vehicles.

Pranav
