diy- standalone ecm tuning

hi.. this thread is similar to my virtual DIY turbo thread. http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/techni...-build-up.html. now as i have started working with my project car, i am trying to learn about standalone controller systems alongside with my turbo build up.
i have few questions regarding the tuning. they are..

1) what is ideal rpm limit for a stock car?

2) which is better, leaner or richer ?

3) what would be the peak power mixture (how rich it should be)?

4) what is the safe lean mixture value?

5) tuning concept on ignition timing?

6) what to do and what not to..!!
