My bad, just cross-checked. Jr. Ambani had the Gallardo, Scud and the 993. Also a Maserati Quattroporte apparently.

The pics don't show the variant badge but if I had to guess it would be the P100D with Ludicrous Plus! Only that would do justice to the Jio garage.

And if it indeed is the P100D, the family should be able to drive around in the city without the need of a charge at least for a good two weeks, maybe more, if driven regularly.

From whatever I know, this is the P100D. The first Model S to land here, and the P100D is befitting a variant to kick off the series!

He also had the regular F430 (see the below link). GTO had spotted him ages back. Also read somewhere he had a dark blue BMW i8 as well.

Don't know about Anil Ambani, but this is the dark blue i8 of the Jio Garage, bought in 2016 according to Carcrazy.india, which is now wrapped in matte black(posted on another thread). Picture from CarCrazy.India Instagram page.

Re: Tesla Model S in India

This is a video (now viral) from China.

Model S parked in a basement of a car park, bursts into flames.

You can observe smoke coming out, before the blast.

Jio Garage's Model S! Interestingly, even though it is registered as an electric vehicle, it doesn't get the green plates. Anyone knows why?

Interestingly. 2nd owner?? Probably some adjustments being made.

It would be nice if this becomes a regular sight in India. Hope we the infra soon.

This was registered in March 2019 and I believe at that time Green number plates were not mandatory in MH. Some other older Teslas are also seen with regular white background plates in Bombay.

Trivia: Owners' name is Reliance Industries but ownership count is 2. When did RIL start buying used cars?

Maybe it was registered in the name of the import company to clear customs (?)

The Model S is an import hence the car would be registered in the name of the importer first to get it cleared and then the customer, hence while on paper Ambani is the second owner, the car is very much a brand new car. Same goes for the McLarens which are imported by Exclusive Motors.

These make a good case for even better deals in the used car market I would love to be the THIRD owner of this tesla at a highly depreciated THIRD owner price
