Honda has unveiled an electric SUV concept called the e:concept at the 2020 Beijing Motor Show.



The Honda e:concept is said to preview an all-electric SUV aimed at the Chinese market. The car features a trapezoidal front fascia with a large Honda logo in the centre and an LED light bar on top. Since it's an EV, the grille has been blanked out.



The trapezoidal fascia has been replicated at the rear as well. It has slim tail lamp clusters with an LED light bar that stretches across the width of the car. While the concept appears to have two doors, the production version is likely to be a 4-door SUV.



Honda has not released any technical details of the e:concept. What we do know is that the car will get omnidirectional ADAS, next generation Honda Connect and Honda sensing safety as well as driver-assistive system with improved recognition.

I can already see, where Honda is going garnish this somewhat good design with its typical overstyling and fake vents and plastic overload for the production version.

They should have developed the beautiful design language they created for the Honda e and release a family of cars based on that design language

Even if China gets it by end of 2020 or early 2021, India will see it testing from 2032 and then after 2042, we would still be discussing on the forums why Honda should launch this product immediately. (HRV I am looking at you )

Even the wheel rims design are similar.

Looks Chic. A very balanced and proportionate design. Will be equally surprised if Honda can get the same body style to the actual 4 door SUV.

Hey people, please get your VISA's for China and Japan if you want to experience this SUV. No way its coming to India.

The timelines you quoted is for HRV I believe. We will get an SUV from Honda, when the euphoria around SUV's die and we all move to other forms. Say Caravans. . Honda Engines may be quick, but the India Management

Every other car looks like some other car some way and in some angles. And not much can be done with a two box concept.

I've just one thing on the wishlist - need a decently long range. The Honda E was cute looking, but it was a joke overall with the €30,000 price tag and 137 mile range.

Here's the Honda E - I wish this SUV is more substantial.
