Genesis already confirms that this electric crossover debuts in 2021. It rides on the Electric-Global Modular Platform from Hyundai and Kia's EVs. The architecture supports batteries that can provide up to 310 miles (500 kilometers) of range. Plus, the system can recharge 62 miles (100 kilometers) of range in five minutes. The motors can make up to 600 horsepower (447 kilowatts).

Genesis X Coupe concept revealed

Genesis X works on a “Two Lines” theme. Low and broad, the car continues a number of Genesis design cues, like the crest grille and the two lines, while moving the design into the future with the sleek coupe.

The two-line architecture defines the side of every Genesis. Independent of typology, or product, the Two Lines will always be Genesis,” said Genesis design chief Sangyup Lee. “It doesn’t matter if it’s day or night, it is always prominent and stands out. From now on, when you see two lines, you will think Genesis.”

Genesis Reveals All-Electric GV60 Crossover

Genesis, Hyundai Motor Group's luxury brand, has revealed today exterior and interior images of its upcoming new all-electric model, the Genesis GV60.

It's the brand's first model based on the dedicated electric platform E-GMP (Electric-Global Modular Platform), already utilized in the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6. It actually reminds us of the two other E-GMP-based models a lot.

The Genesis GV60 is a crossover/SUV type. The name comes from G (Genesis), V (refers to versatility) and 60 (denotes the position in the Genesis lineup).

The interior appears to be very similar to the Hyundai Ioniq 6/Kia EV6 approach, but of course, the style is exclusive to Genesis and it's far more premium.

Genesis says that the interior design features advanced and delicate details which emphasize the ‘Beauty of White Space’

there is a similar screen as in the Kia EV6, with one display for the instrument cluster, and the second one for infotainment. On the sides, there are displays for side rearview mirrors, like in the Hyundai Ioniq 5.

Genesis sticks with conventional buttons and even introduced an interesting sphere-shaped control - the Crystal Sphere - to select a drive mode.

Genesis GV60 specifications revealed. The GV60 is 4515mm long, with a wheelbase of 2900mm.



- The GV60 is based on the Hyundai Motor Group's advanced E-GMP architecture.

- The GV60 will be available in three variants : Standard RWD, AWD and Performance Model.

- 77.4kWh battery pack is standard across all variants with support for fast-charging at up to 350 kW. It takes 10% to 80% charge in 18 minutes.



- Standard RWD model produces 225 hp and 350 Nm with a claimed mileage range of 280 miles.

- AWD model produces 313 hp and 605 Nm with a claimed mileage range of 248 miles.



- Performance model produces 429 hp and 605 Nm with a claimed range of 229 miles. The top-spec Performance model also offers a boost mode that delivers additional power for 10sec. The 0-62mph is achieved in 4.0sec.



Genesis has also equipped the GV60 with a Drift Mode.
