Apollo Tyres ties up with Tata Power for EV charging stations

Apollo Tyres has partnered with Tata Power to set up E-charging stations at its 'Commercial and Passenger Vehicle Zones' spread across the country.

As per the agreement, Tata Power will set up charging stations at 150 Apollo Tyre retail outlets. In addition to customers visiting the tyre retail outlet, the charging stations would be open for use by the general public throughout the year.

Tata Power has deployed an extensive EV charging network of over 1000 EV charging points across 200 different cities. These include DC 001, AC, Type2, Fast DC up to 50 kWh and up to 240 kWh chargers for buses. These chargers support both 2-wheelers and 4-wheelers.

Now thats a move which is certain to make the charging infrastructure map denser across the country. We hope to see many more such collaborations in the near future.

Tata looks aggressive on the EV scene and this is another testimony, Its a win-win situation for both! Good utilisation of real estate. An appolo workshop near my home has 4 bays bang on a highway, 2 for trucks and 2 for cars, all of them are rarely utilised, in this case such an arrangement can be so useful!
