What a beauty! I was cycling in Kothrud, and I saw something very unfamiliar; The car zipped past me in utter silence (first pic), I instantly knew what I just got a glimpse of: A Volkswagen EV!

Coincidentally, at the traffic light, the same car was behind me, so I went ahead and shamelessly clicked a few more pics, enjoy!

From what I could see, the vehicle had lane assist camera(s). (instrument cluster confirms it)

Heard this beauty will be priced around 40L? Is that true.

I spoke to a close contact at VW mysore, he said it will be priced along the lines of the current model VW Tiguan. So I guess you’re right. It will be priced around 40-45L on road. But considering the size of the vehicle and features I won’t be surprised if it’s 40-45L ex-showroom.

As per this report from last year, it should be 60 Lac. I do not think VW can do a 40 Lac for a CBU like this, especially when Euro hovers around 85 to a rupee.

VW will have to undercut the Ioniq 5 otherwise the car might be dead on arrival.

A beauty in the conventional sense. But I do wonder why the carmakers don't capitalise on the fact, that the nearly redundant engine bay gives such a radical design change opportunity in EVs.
Even after catering for a effective front crumple zone and maybe drive motor layouts, there is so much possible. Is there any limitations, that I may have missed out on?

Well, you might be surprised. Looking at Volkswagen Tiguan AllSpace pricing, I don't have high hopes for pricing. The car looks nice :-)
