BYD PHEV to compete with gasoline sedans

BYD has launched the PHEV Hybrid Qin Plus Glory edition that is priced on par with Corolla and VW Lavida. It has two battery options and has a mileage of 25 Kmpl.

Now this IS what we need - the best of both worlds!

Performace - 0-100 in 5.9s AND a 1000km range. Essentially, it's doing its bit for mother earth without having to overly depend on charging infra outside your home.

Not to mention the starting price for a mid segment sedan is about 12k USD. BYD is killing it.

Can't wait for more such vehicles.
