Perhaps the biggest single step to improve air quality is to stop "open air" burning of domestic and commercial waste. Most of which is recyclable and includes a lot of toxic plastic.
It is as simple as taking pollution caused by vehicles out of New Delhi by switching to EV.

Now large amount of investment and Power Generation is being done through Large setup of Solar Panels and Wind Power, They are also exploring, setting up large wind power in the seashore of TN and Gujarat.

So, things will change and it has its own time to mature.
