MG has financially split the cost of the vehicle in 2 parts, namely the shell (which excludes the battery), for which one could avail finance period for 3,4 or 5 years. The battery rental (finance) is for a fixed period of 8 years. One has the option to pay the entire cost of the shell upfront and go only for the battery in BaaS. To put it in a simple perspective, its a finance scheme which is marketed in a different way.
It was for Windsor base model. I wanted to pay the ex-showroom from my pocket and pay for battery per km, but MG Ramani in Coimbatore denied such option existed.
