BHPian ![]() | ![]() Thats a neat looking car for eco-tech! Does look like AM and also the Quattraporte, but its defintely a good one. Even if this one ends up in India, if the government does not have any specific exemption for electric/or alternatively powered cars I dont think it will be a for the general public. The price as per wikipedia.com is $57,400 for the standard model and $65,000 for a premium model and these prices are US prices so with our tax system I think it will end up in the super rich category. |

| ![]() It will not start production if the U.S government does not help the company. Even if they get the help, they need to find a site and will not come out for another 24 to 36 months. Last edited by srishiva : 27th March 2009 at 23:15. |

| ![]() Looks like a Maserati. But looks way better than the Prius! And the interior seems to have leather piping. Now going green is luxurious too. |

Team-BHP Support ![]() ![]() | ![]() Took the words right outta my mouth! The Model S' designers seem to have been super influenced by the XF. Tesla has a history of over-committing and under-delivering; I really would like to see this car being sold as is promised. Heck, it makes the roadster seem terribly over-priced! The range, battery and seating capacity are way superior. Plus, the stated performance is quick by any standards as well. Buttttttttttttttttttttttt I'll believe it when I see it. Tesla is too complicated an organisation. Quote:

| ![]() aston martin, jag xf, maserrati, and now the porsche? does this car have originality? ![]() i guess electric powertrains is the real territory where the tesla's originality lies.much better than a prius or an insight. |

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() Absoulutely. Electric engines have come a long way since the Insight hit the roads. And with more and more electric engines being developed, its amazing to see how some cars evolve. |
