Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() Since we are on the hovering around display lights, I will put in my 2 cents, though taken with a point n shoot. ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by thoma : 16th December 2011 at 21:02. |

BHPian ![]() | ![]() I picked up my XUV W8 about 10 days back and since then I've been besotted by its looks. I'm a doctor by profession but an artist at heart ![]() I was itching to shoot my handsome beast but was just not getting the time. This Sat evening I finally took the XUV and my cam and clicked a few pics. The pics are taken with a 550 D, the basic kit lens (18 - 55 mm) & a tripod Wasn't so happy so I took it again on Sun morning and shot some more. This set was taken with a hand held 550 and another basic zoom lens (55 - 250 mm) Some editing (brightness / contrast / crop / resize) has been done in Microsoft Office Picture Manager on most pics. The first 7 have been taken at 2 different locations in Koparkhairane at 8 PM on Sat The next 5 are at sagar vihar in Vashi around 10 AM on Sun And the final 5 are outside a school in Vashi at about 10:30 AM the same day. Point to note . . . Pic no 7 & 8 look similar but one has been taken at 8 PM with the glare of a street lamp reflecting on the window, whereas the 8th pic was taken the next day at 10 AM & the reflection that you see is the sun. Team-BHP Support ![]() ![]() | ![]() There are some cars which are plain ugly. They were designed by gentlemen, who used to gift cauliflowers to their girlfriends. Here is one such car at a lovely place ![]() |

| ![]() Just a quick tip for those who wish to hide their number plates. If its a repeat, delete this post. 1. On your image select the plate by a rectangular Lasso tool.If its bent or there are some folds, select with a Pen tool. If you using the Pen tool, select make selection and enter a Feather number of around 3-5pixels. 2. Select the color picker.(Dropper icon). 3.Select a color, preferably close to white as your foreground color. If you ask me why not just paint white, well the answer is this. Light and shadows are playing a certain role on your number plate. If you directly paint white, at times it does not look realistic.the color is close to off white or cream or towards the grey area. 4.Select a Soft Brush.Size to your liking. 5.Paint on the selection. 6.You are done. Quick wand also works, but Rectangular lasso/Pen works faster since it selects the plate. Painted plates to an extent look better than improper blurred or cloned numbers on the plate. Happy clicking.
