OK, good tidings here. The 199 Rs Android version of Sygic + MMI works on multiple devices. I have installed it on Galaxy Note and Galaxy Tab 2. The Tab 2 was downloading map files when I left for office in the morning. So 199 Rs for 2 devices is still a brilliant deal.

Finally downloaded the Don't Panic maps on my iPhone 4S for 2700 INR. First impressions have been decent , will give my feedback on the navigation bit in a couple of days.

App Store had the cheaper Sygic app for 1200 INR, but somehow didnt like the interface.

Quick note - I received an email today with the link to this - Sygic for Android Seems like they have slashed prices or giving discounts up to 30% for all geographies. Still for india it would cost around 5.49$ though! Maybe if someone tried through India app store, it may be less. Try if interested. I am using these maps in India and North America and they are good.

During my first purchase, I have paid Rs.1300/- for Sygic MMI through Play Store.
Within couple of weeks they slashed the price to Rs.199/-
A second copy I bought from the Sygic Website for Rs.299/- for my wife's phone.
(Once again) I missed the Rs.199/- offer by few days.
My bad!

MMI has advertised it's own NaviMaps for mobile phones. Some features available only next 2 days

I always use google maps for navigation and always found it useful. What would be the difference between googlemaps and sygic/mmi or satguide?
