Geocaching anyone?

Geocaching - The Official Global GPS Cache Hunt Site
Geocaching > Getting Started with Geocaching > The History of Geocaching

A mighty stupendous idea/concept/activity!
Especially now that all smartphones come with GPS capability.

But anyone here?
I can find a few geocaches around Pune, at pretty locations - listed in the website - ah weekends now I look forward to thee ...

Re: GEOCACHING anyone?

Very interesting activity though in India it seems that the population load makes GeoCaching difficult.

If there are not enough people already you can start creating your own GC's and post them. I guess the traction will soon pick up.

Thanks for this thread. It's fun geocaching, no doubt on that. Here in Bangalore there are only few caches that I have explored three years ago. Not much ever since. To my knowledge, these few caches are placed by globe totters. Too many muggels hovering around the cache location is another challenge.

Mods: I guess this thread should be on Shifting Gear general discussion forum as it doesn't involve discussion on gadgets per se.

Re: Geocaching anyone?

I've had some luck here in Bangalore, there is one in Lalbagh and one on top of Nandi Hills. Its fun even if you do it alone.

Re: Geocaching anyone?

There are hardly any caches around Delhi; But when I head to the mountains, I plan to create some "caches".

The last time I checked the Lalbagh cache, it was missing, it was three years ago. I am not sure if the owner has replaces it. There is one in Cubbon Park. Maybe we can do a Team meet to find Nandi Hills cache!

Wow this looks like our own Amazing Race. Thanks for sharing this. Was completely unaware such a thing exists. Nice treasure hunting of sorts. So what all have you found in the caches? We all can have an inter team bhp competition here.

Cheers!
