VCD player?!! As in those old things that used to play tapes? Umm, your best bet is eBay. Why do not you check out the place. Somebody may just be willing to sell his old VCD player and may have listed it there.

Need a VCR in good condition - Bangalore

Team,

Thanks for those replies!

Yes I have some NTSC tapes to be played. However converting them using a Computer and a Video card will be way expensive for each tape which runs for 3 hours each. The cheaper solution was is to buy a VCR.

Please let me know if you have VCR which u r willing to part with.

much obliged

Thanks!

There are people out there that do it for you. Less that 100 bucks a CD so three hours would be max 300 bucks. It should be cheaper (and easier) than finding a VCR.

Ok... was a typo actually... I meant to write VCP.
And I feel some smalltime brands still do make those things. In smaller towns and moffussil areas they still have those age old Cassette shops that rent out those old movies. Even many websites sell movies in both tape and CD formats. Just do check out.

Wow, its hard to get a standalone VCR these days. There are a few companies that do combined VCR/DVD players. I am not sure if they sell the models in India but Samsung, Philips, Panasonic all make such products.

Samsung models include the DVDV5500 and DVDV5600. They sell for the equivalent of about RS6,400 in the UK.
