Steering Wheel for gaming

I'm unable to find the "Logitech Driving Force Pro" (for my PS2) as it's not officially available in India. Tried some places in Blore but nobody had it.

Can anyone from Bbay find out if it's available there? Is anyone using this steering?

Moreover, is it safe to order it online? (If i need to do so)

Hi Shan2nu. I am not sure if this is of any use to you. The following product is available in ebay.in: Logitech WINGMAN FORMULA FORCE MOMO REFRESH - MOMORCN.

Note: Sorry, I ignored that you were searching for PS2. The one i have mentioned is for PC.

Shan,

Where will you be buying it online if you do?

If its a reputable online store that ships internationally it shouldnt be a problem (donno abt customs though?!?).
Though shipping will be $$$

Logitech makes the best.... the Momo Force costs around 5k... but much better than Taiwan/china made ones.

They have a model called the Formula Vibration in ur budget.

Wow the G25 is awesome. It's got sequential as well as reglar shifters. And also comes with a clutch pedal.

This is the most realistic gaming controler i've seen. This will be perfect for GT5 on PS3.

When will it be available in the Indian market?

BTW, does Blore have a Logitech showroom?

Its already in the Indian market but its a little pricey at around 20k. Planet M in Mumbai has a small Logitech counter and they had the G25 for sale. You can get it cheaper from the US though.

Like you said this is going to be the perfect wheel for GT5 although the developers are coming out with their own wheel I doubt it can get more realistic than this.

Look at a couple of videos on youtube and youll appreciate it more

Im definatly saving up for one.

Some of the features of the g25 that really appealed to me are.

the clutch pedal
the regular H pattern shifter
leather wrapped steering wheel
padle shifter
seperate gear shift
pneumatic pedals to make it feel just like a real car.
900 degree turning capability.

I had asked. Not been tested on PS3, works on PS2 and XBox, according to the Logitech guys.

If you already have a PS3, check in the list of drivers / supported accessories. There must be a PS3 forum somewhere.

Since most hardware designers support limited backward compatibility, one would expect that the USB-based Momo would work. It is a matter of driver and key mapping. Logitech will not say 'yes' till they have actually tested it.
