Be aware before you buy iMate or O2 PDAs

The manufacturer of all iMate and O2 devices (except O2 Atom), HTC Taiwan, have allegedly severed relations with these two distributors. Henceforth you will not get HTC devices from either iMate or O2, except for those that are already in the pipeline.

Be aware of this before you go shopping for new iMate or O2 devices. Please check who the manufacturer is - if the relationship is severed, the quality of support (which is already quite pathetic) will fall further.

However, HTC will continue to supply hardware to Dopod (Qtek, not so sure) besides marketing their products DIRECTLY under the HTC name, so you will still get the same devices with a different name.

This IMHO is a good move as both iMate and O2 have been milking the top end of the market without any value addition or meaningful support.

I am quite satisfied with O2's support and quality of the phones. Used the Mini for a year and now using the Atom.
