Why T-series LCD is costly, Samsung 22'' is available for 15.8 K and the PC connectivity is also good and supports more than 1024 pixels.

not much, a increase of about 200 to 600 depending on the slab. (AP has a slab system, where-in the rates the diff for the amount of power consumtion.)
picked up a 19" T-series for misc usage, got it for 16.5k. initial impression of the lcd is good. doesnt support more that 1024*786 for pc input. |

Guess this is the one I posed about last week. This even comes with a sub woofer option right?
KLV-19T400W : Series T : BRAVIA™ LCD TV : Sony India
Samsung one is this
LA22A450C1?

yes, Samsung has only one model in 22'' (4 series). The Sony T Series finishing is not that great and has less features, but Sony speakers are good and samsung is worst.
Does anyone purchased Sony LCD from gray market like Gaffar in Karol Bagh Delhi. 40" is almost 10K less. What do you say? Yup it doesn't come with any warranty etc. So does anything really happen to LCD in one year time.

yup, it's the same one, but without the woofer and has a silver outline, mine's a 19T400A
my inital choice was the samsung 22A450 or a 22" sanyo (dont remember the model number) mainly because of the tad larger screen size.
but had to settle for this, cos of lack of fresh stocks with the dealer i generally buy from, none of his branches has a sealed unit and he didnt wanna give me a demo unit or a display piece as he knows my preferences pretty well.
the only plus point this sony model had was the wider screen and a better clarity. saw almost half of casino royale on both the models beofre deciding, had personally reset both the lcds to thier original factory settings before starting up the movie.

i guess price is higher cos the T series is a newer gen model from sony and cos of the good amount of demand for it in hyd. at the time of my purchase none of the other stores here in hyd werent willing to give it below 17k mainly because of the diwali rush and as this was the only lcd tv available with most of the dealers in the 19-22" screen size range.
didnt bargain on the lcd pricing front,as i got a good deal on sony 608 & 708 model dvd players.
Checked with the Grey Market guys in Chennai, they say that they dont get any complaints.
On a lighter note, even if something happens you can do a paid service and console yourself that that you got the system at MRP lol:

Read a few pages back and there is supposed to be no difference between the PV80D and the PV80H |
One difference I noted from the manual is the type of plug. PV80H has 2 pin like in the US where as PV80D shows 3 pin as used in India. I didnt notice any other documentation of differences.
Intresting answers from panasonic showroom on differences was that some times it comes as 80H and some times as 80D. Didnt find it convincing.

I spoke with the Panasonic Regional office and they confirmed the PV80D is what is being sold in India- ALL the pieces therefore are PV80D
Vola, Finally last night Bought Sony S 40" LCD yesterday for 70K rounded, with B&W (not from gray).
The reason I settled to S from V because it has nothing new other then different clear Panel which shoes clearly cables at back and one DM port which is off no use without extra fitment and off course 7K extra. So Decided to go for S series. Liked W one but it was beyond my budget.
I too have bought Samsung LA40650 LCD tv a few days back. Samsung will install it tonight and I shall post the reviews by the end of this week.
I've been trying to get the PV80 from Devi's and the guy has been giving some reason or the other for the past few days. I went to the showroom this afternoon to inquire and the latest claim is that it'll be delivered by evening and that he had placed orders for 5 pieces -- 3 for our group alone.
