The new Face of connectivity

When in school, the only form of communication I knew was telephone. Cellular phones came into market making them a novelty. Next came wi-fi. But different roads always end into one single road.

HSDPA, the newest face of all forms of connectivity. Running at 3.5G HSDPA connectivity has recently been inaugrated in Toronto.

ROgers communications are giving out cards with which I can use internet on my laptop on the mobile phone network without making wireless communication truly mobile.

While HSDPA is only the beginning, do you think HSDPA is the step in the right direction?

HSDPA is slower than Wimax currently (384 kbps vs 70 Mbps). With its only advantage being higher mobility than Wimax, I dont believe HSDPA can really take off by itself. Probably another 5 yrs down, when both these platforms merge will true broadband mobility be sustainable.
