Sony Ericsson W810i or Samsung D807?

Hi,

I am planning to buy a new cell connection in US, and have the above two handsets in contention. I was also considering Moto Slvr L7 but its kinda old now. Apart from communication, I plan to use it as MP3 player as well.

My views on both:
SE W810i
1) +I had SE handsets before and I like their user interface and battery life.
2) +512 MB mem card free
3) +Walkman series so good(?) as an MP3 player as well.
4) +2MP Camera
5) -$25 Mail in rebate.

D807
1) -Samsung. I dont have enough trust in samsung. Have had bad experience before with Samsung TVs.
2) +Great screen and resolution
3) +No Mail in rebate. Its totally free with new connection.
4) -No additional memory provided. Have to buy at extra cost.
5) +Slider design which is in-thing these days
6) +/-Can play MP3, but not advertized as walkman.

I am really confused among these two models. Please suggest which one to buy? Any other options?

go for the w810i its got decent mp3 playback and much better than the samsung. the 810i camera too is better if that matters to you. themes (to change appreace of the display screen) will be easier to find for the 810i also.

Go for the w810i .Its got pretty good audio and the camera's pretty decent.Better than most camera-phones out there.

One thing is most of the websites say the cingular w810i has a 512mb memory card but actually they give a 128mb one

Yes cooldude, Cingular says 512 MB card but gives 128 MB one...I have also heard the same...but in spite of that w810i is good buy. I will mostly go for that one only.

Yes take that or maybe if you could wait for a while cingular is supposedly launching the nokia n75/76 by mid february
