Whirlpool top loader and no heater that does not gel, atleast 30% of their top loading range has built in heaters.

Whirlpool has launched a new line called "Bloom Wash" these too have built in heater and actually look like the current range of top loaders that they sell in the US.

In top loaders though Panasonic has some nice machines as does Hitachi.

front loading are generally better as they tend to take less water, detergent and electricity per cycle. also in principle they are better because they make the clothes 'tumble', so you get an even wash. LG direct drive has had many good reviews and prompt service, so i guess it would be best. Also BOSCH has started selling w/m in India so you can check them out too.

We are planning to retire the old Godrej fridge and looking for a replacement in 400+ Ltr category, we have short listed 3 models, namely Whirlpool Proton , Whirlpool Neo IChill and Samsung. any feedback from existing users of Whirlpool and Samsung on the performance of these models and any known issues etc?

How is the overall service of these brands across NCR, Noida and Ghaziabad?

My whirlpool top loading was acting up due to a sock being stick in its plumbing. The technician came over removed it and showed me the dirt built up in the tubes and housing of drum. Sold me a pack of 10 descaling sachets for 1600 and asked me to use 5 at one go to clear the dirt...
I didn't believe I needed 5, used 2 and added some vinegar and Clorox. Hopefully the washes will be cleaner and clothes more hygienic.
I used one for my Samsung front loader too and decided to do this once in 2-3 months for better hygiene.
We run minimum 2 cycles a day, sometimes 3.

Guys need some help, our old well 10 years to be exact Whirlpool washing mach conked off last week. Now this machine was a fighter although not used extensively perhaps 2 times a week, maid does on daily basis, but during home renovation this machine took the worst beating ever and came back a winner and still gave us two solid years after that.

Now mom wants to go for IFB front loader it is the Elite variant or the Whirlpool 360 Bloom variant but while looking at washing machines also came across Bosch and Siemens and Panasonic, how are their products and service. Whirlpool has decent service this we have experienced but dont really know about IFB.

My question then should we stick to the Whirlpool or perhaps try the IFB or also look at the offerings from BOSCH/Siemens/Panasonic. Max Budget is 40,000. Should last at least 5-6 years. Thanks

Thanks guys will be going tomorrow to see the products on offer from Siemens/Bosch/Panasonic.

Really is IFB that bad?, they feel very premium though and have heard lot of hype about them, I guess they are the Skoda then of the washing machine world. lol:

We bought a samsung RT41LSPN this summer to support our ageing godrej.
its only been in service about six months but has been giving good service.
