In a normal 3 phase supply scenario, you can draw a maximum of 10 A per phase - 30 A in all. Your electrician recommends that this is increased to 15A per phase - 45 A in all.
I have 5 ACs running in my house with a normal 30 A - 3 phase supply (our EB meter is rated at 30 A). The chances of all 5 ACs running at the same time is remote. With modern Inverter type of ACs or more than 3 star rated AC units, you can manage to run them all within the existing 30 A supply line- provided you connect them in different phases.
But if you have enough family members and all of them require air-conditioned comfort at the same time
and you have unrated ACs, you may have to cough up that 20k to upgrade your existing supply line/meter.

I have no idea of WB, but here in Delhi, the company looks for peak load; even if it is there for one hour once a year; and then sends a notice for increasing the load.
Normally each 1.5T AC consumes 1.5 KVA to 2 KVA, so 5 x 1.5T = 7.5 KVA to 10 KVA, hence you will be just on the limit with running 4 AC at a time.

My 6 years old Samsung front loading washing machine finally gave up. The drum was damaged and the replacement cost was 7K as per the technician who visited my home - paying 7K isn't worth it.
Looking to buy a new machine within 20K. Any recommendations ? My main requirements are long life , reliability and hassle free ownership ; even a top loading machine will do if that's more reliable. Don't really need most of the fancy functions and modes that come with washing machines these days.

Doesn't seem very old, but now I come to think of it, this is in line with what an honest salesperson told me in UK. He said 5-6 years for ordinary models, up to ten for the premium brands. And then there's Miele, who [used to] advertise
engineered to last 25 years. But phew, the prices!

My LG top loader is now 12 years old & doing fine (touchwood). I think I bought it for around 15,000.
Never had an extended warranty or an AMC. I think I must have spent a total of around 1500-2000 on service calls over 12 years.

Our IFB (executive plus) will turn 20 next year! Beat that!! :D
Running perfectly fine even now. Though I have noticed that the noise has increased while high rpm cycles.

Wow, great, especially the twenty years! My bought-in-UK Bosch might have made it if a rat hadn't rotted on the main control board. Looks like rotting rat is very corrosive!
The LG Double Door Refrigerator Model- GL-325TMG4 bought in 2007 is facing below problem.
The water in Drain Tray is overflowing even though the Temperature is kept more (warmer). I have cleaned the Copper Pipe (from outside) sunk in the tray. If I am not wrong, this Copper Pipe help in evaporating the excess water.
Am I missing something?

I believe all manufacturers outsource the servicing to a 3rd party provider. The quality will of course depend on the amount being paid to the TPP. The Samsung technician who visited my home was from a company called Prism.
Anyway , I finally bought a top loading washing machine from Haier at 10.5 K , after discounts. That's about half the cost of a front loader . My experience with top loaders has been better. My first machine which was a LG top loader lasted 8 years. The first 6 years were trouble free before rats chewed up the wiring , but we could still run it for another 2 years before it failed completely.
