Airtel GPRS settings

I have a smart phone and use a Airtel SIM when in India (GPRS is enabled)

Does anyone know the settings I should enter so I can check email etc whilst in India.

In particular :

Access Point
User name
Password
Primary DNS
Secondary DNS
IP Address

Thanks in advance.

no need to worry, call 121 from your airtel mobile. They will send you the settings on your mobile.

AFAIK, the IP address for accessing GRPS varies from state to state in India. Pls specify where u usually use the airtel card so that people from that area can throw some light.

Thanks guys.

I will be using in Haryana and Punjab.

I would call 121 but from past experience they can be pretty bad with sorting out problems. In the past I had to escalate things to the Airtel CEO to get minor things done.

Thanks. I think I need the Mobile Office flavour as somone told me that the AO offering will not give me fully fledged access but limited access to the airtel portal.

Thanks.

Will MO then allow me to use the full capabilities of a smart phone ? IE, Messenger, Outlook etc.

Could I use MO to surf the internet on my PC using a bluetooth connection between the pc and mobile ?

Also I only need access for 3 weeks maximum. So if I top my credit up and send the text to 646 is there any way I can deactivate it via text when I leave india ?
