Issue with my Pendrive

Hi guys,
I use a 1GB Memorex pen drive for transporting data between my office as well as home PC. When i insert it at my office computer, i see the folders in the following view :

The same when viewed on my PC at home, doesnt show some of the folders and i cannot understand why. This is how it looks:

The folder settings at home are set to show even hidden files, and so this shouldnt be the reason.

Any pointers?

I'm just guessing.

Maybe some of those folders are 'hidden' folders. One comp is set to 'show' hidden folders, other to 'hide'??

B&T, thats what i thought too. But as i have mentioned above, even on the home PC, the folder settings are set to show all folders, hidden or not.
I even reset to default folder settings and tried, to no avail.

EDIT : Replying to vid's post below.
Vid, tried the same too. It only shows the same folders as i have put up in Pic 2. :(

You have the U3 software which is like a small OS installed on the pendrive. From office it looks like a normal drive whereas from home the U3 autoplays and you see the software.

Launch U3 and explore the drive from there.

Oops, sorry. I totally missed that part of your post. But in the picture, the Pics folder does look a bit darker than the other folders, somewhat like the view when showing hidden and regular folders together.

Nice observation, B&T. The other folders do look like hidden folders, which is why i checked that out first. Mysterious.

What comp do you have at home? The comp at home is not detecting the folders created which are formatted for the U3 software.

On the net search for the U3 help page, I'm sure there will be a fix there.

One thing I noticed was this document folder's modified date is 22/jan/08..howz that possible? :O Moreover, I think its an issue of hidden files as if you see closely the pics folder has a darker shade of yellow in the first picture as compared to others. So my assumption here would be that the folders documents, for_b, music and system are internal and are used by U3. And you are able to view them on your office PC coz of some setting which is disabled in your home PC. Hope this helps
