Anyone updated k750i to w800i? (in delhi)

Need experiences/gyan/benefits et al. Primarily concerned about:
- stability of fone.
- improvements?
- If it affects any ability to install other softwares, or future w800i firmwares?
- Is net browsing affected?

Please to enlighten.
Thanks in advance!

Completely OT I know, but just is the fastest way i know to gather info from delhi guys on this topic!
Do lock in a day or so once some guys turn up with their experiences!

Tried this on my phone and bricked it. The guide is not very good. The first thing you should do is backup your GDFS (which I did not do).

Got the phone fixed and tried again with another guide (and files that were already gslided). Worked a treat and have been using the new W800i for a few weeks. I also have a W810i and prefer the W800 as it has a lens cover etc.

I took the bricked phone to a chap to get fixed. He asked me how I managed to brick it. I told him I was converting it into a W800i. He could not stop laughing and gave me a lecture on how a man could not become a woman etc etc. In the end he could not fix the bricked phone.

Use the latest version of XS++ (V3.1 Darwin). I used part 1 of the following guide :

Tutorial | K750 And W800 Guide - SE-NSE Forums

The main and file system tars are already gslided. So if you have a red CID49 phone there is no need to convert anything. On one of the files the XS++ software will hang on 291 blocks. Leave it for a minute or so and then unplug it.

To backup the GDFS click on the GDFS selection and then click on the read GDFS button.
