Help, need a Media gaming console.

Yes, Media. Remember that gaming console that everyone had in the late-80's?? I need one of those as my younger brother (for some reason that I cannot fathom) wants it to play Contra/Mario etc, at college in the US

Can anyone please help in sourcing one in working condition??

If hes in college in the US tell him to get onto ebay. Youll find every console for sale there.

You looking for an independent console or the one that is connected to the TV ?

I am looking for the latter. Just want a repeat of the good ol' contra, mario, b-wings etc.

Checked out Palika Bazaar. Innumerable options from 500 - 1000k. I am sure you will get what you are looking for.

I saw a few of these consoles (with games built in) on my last visit to india. You find them in those shops that sell fans, tvs etc. There were even a few in a LG showroom.

Remember the USA tv system is different to India so these may not work in USA if they output pal (unless his tv is multi-standard which most modern tvs usually are)

Yeah, Palika is the hub of Gaming equipment, so if there is one place where I can find this, it's there. About the TV system you're right, but first thing is to find the console, then worry about the PAL etc.

Yeah found a genuine Media console with help from an old contact who runs a PS3/XBox shop in the market. It was box packed & came with two remotes & even a gun remote plus a game cartridge!

And best part is, total cost was 400 rupees!!
