Dear bhpians

I have gone thru the search of Laptop config threads and have collected a lot of info but now I am unable to make a proper buy.

1) the user will be using the machine atleast 8 to 10 hrs a day
2) config of system noted HDs of 120 @ 5400 and 120 @ 7200 -
3) 1.66 too 2.5mhz -- 1 gb ram suggest what would be best
4) graphic card needed should be dedicated one and what will be a good memory at either 32 or 64bit
5) dvd r/rw
6) ports needed atleast 2 usb, rj45, rj11, firewire, media out, built in cam mics, in & output portssound, blue tooth, wifi any additions from bhpians
7) battery usage would be there which cells - read something like litium ion 9 cell
8) brands HP Dell or Toshiba only

9) any of your valued inputs suggestions

will be used for some moderate gaming, pdf viewing, videos of speed simulations,

the above is a layman collected data. will appreciate if you could suggest me the model number based on brands HP Dell Toshiba

A dell inspiron 1520 with the nvidia 8600 graphic card and 2gb ram and with would set you back by 55 grand and should make a good deal.Also check out the dell XPS series if you have a higher budget and want more performance.

i had gone through the above entire thread and gathered the info but with different views and suggestions of teambhpians could not make a proper short list of models/ brands.

Thanks anyways. Will be going in for a Toshiba and check out what best config I can get.
