This is not the first attempt to copy iPhone. Some nameless makes were already flooded in the market for some time now.

As told earlier, these phones are packed to the brim with features and comes very very phones. Though, they lack quality and durability. Battery life is very poor too.
Whatever it is, IT SELLS!!

Has been available at the Dragon Mart here from the day the iPhone was launched.

It costs Dhs.750 and is popularly called the "CHI"phone.

The dual sim solution doesnt work very well and the screen isnt very sensitive, but its otherwise quite a good copy.

Why would anyone spend $240 on a 512 MB (Chinese make) mobile, when you can get the real i-phone with 8gb space at $400?
(even if branded phones are made in China, unlike local ones, they do have stringent quality norms to pass).

With 512 MB memory, the I-pod functionality of I-phone is pretty much useless. And all said from the video I can see that even the features don;t seem to work half as well (also quoted in Steroid's post above).

Just spend $240 for the looks? Imagine if your friend asks for having a look at your 'i-phone' and on a closer looks he realizes that it's a Hi-phone... lol

when booting up, it shows the apple logo. does this mean that the software is the same as that of the iphone? maybe with a few tweaks perhaps?

its probably made by the same guys who make the iPhone for apple.
