Transcend Launches 16GB JetFlash V85 In India @ Rs 4,250

This sounds like good news for all those having USB enabled HU's
*************************************************
Transcend has made announcement about the launching of its new flash Transcend JetFlash V85 drive ‘V85’ in the Indian market.

Housed in a smooth zinc-alloy body, the newly launched flash drive can easily be taken anywhere, as it can slide into the pockets or tightly-stacked USB ports..

The latest addition to ‘V’ series of JetFlash drives, the 16GB JetFlash V85 measures 49.5mm by 15.8mm by 7.4mm.

With 16GB memory capacity, the new flash drive can offer up huge space to the users for storing up personal files, music, digital photos, full-length HDTV films, and still provide space for more. It is fully hi-speed USB 2.0-compliant and compatible with USB 1.0/1.1, and comes with easy plug and play operation.

The new 16GB JetFlash V60 comes with constructive software tools, which are particularly designed for computer users who are always busy.

The JetFlash elite software suite can be set up to run directly from the JetFlash drive after plugging it in, and includes seven data management functions that includes Website auto-login, PC-Lock, favorites, secret-zip, e-mail, data backup, and online update.

Austin Huang, Regional Head - Sales, SAARC & APAC, Transcend said, “USB Flash drives have become ubiquitous today because of their ease of use, small size, reliability and cost-effectiveness. However, the users have an impending need for enhanced storage capacity as they like to carry around all their personal and office documents, music, images and videos for easy sharing and reliable accessibility. Transcend’s new JetFlash V85 will cater to this requirement with its huge capacity of 16GB and classy look!”

Supporting Windows 98SE / Me / 2000 / XP / Vista, Mac and Linux, the JetFlash V85 can be directly connected with the USB port on a PC for quick, trouble-free data transfer and storage. The flash drive is available in different capacities such as 2 GB, 4 GB, 8 GB and 16 GB.

Together with three-year warranty, the JetFlash V85 16GB is available at a price of Rs 4,250.

Price comparison please? I intend on buying a 4 GB

EDIT: I guess this is the correct link for Corsair distributor in India. When I click on your link, it takes me to some log-in page of another forum

And this is the link for Corsair USB drives

By the way, aren't San Disk and Kingston supposed to be 'good' memory drives? I have always used these 2 brands for either thumb drives or SD cards for camera, cellphone etc and found them to be very fast and stable. Frankly, I hadn't heard of Corsair before veb mentioned it

You stole the words out of my mouth. I remember I paid 12000 for a 270MB HDD. I still have it and it still works
