hi everyone, got a query regarding iphone 2g screen. the screen has been behaving weirdly since i dropped it 2 weeks ago. the top portion keeps disappearing slowly pixels after pixels and after 2 weeks it looks some thing like the one in the pic i have posted.

what could be the problem? can i get some service center who is good with handling iphones in mumbai?? your suggestions would be greatly appreciated,thanks.:)

I had the same symptoms when my touch screen GPS dropped. The LCD had cracked on the inside. Weeks later almost half of the GPS screen pixels died and I had to replace the screen. I am guessing its the same problem here.

what was the cost of the screen

This was the MIO C320 4.3" touch screen GPS which I bought it in US for $150 during a sale. They quoted $100 for the LCD replacement but since MIO service took almost 2 months to fix it, they gave me a $50 discount.

BTW, I also got the MIO720T 4.3" touch screen with live traffic data for $125 during a super hot sale. gpspassion.com has interesting hacks for a lot of GPS. Moved back to bangalore now, have not yet tried the GPS here.

I have an Iphone with latest firmware 2.2.1. I SMS a lot and I want to create a distribution list for sending group SMS. Currently my contacts are getting synced with google although I am ready to use any other sync method which provide group support.
I am aware of the ability to send out text messages by adding each name individually but you need to add individual name each time.
I have both bite sms as well as ireal sms installed.

I had googled it but couldn't found a proper solution.
I am sure our esteemed guru's will have some workaround for it....

AFAIK If you receive the pdf by mail, you can read it there, no need to install a separate reader.

Yup PDF, Word, Excel & PPT all pre-installed in iPhone. If you want to save and edit you have to buy app from store.

that being said, it is still rather unwise to buy the rather inflated piece of hardware (+ some clever software) called the iphone. But the good news is that for fanboys, contract can be avoided.

BS dug up a very old fact, if you look at carrier list world wide, this unlock option was mentioned from the day 1 iPhone was launched in India :)

How the actual process works, well i hope to update in the month of August :D
