NOOB QUESTION
How can I tell if an iphone4 is factory unlocked or jail braked? stupid:
You have Cedia app installed its JB then, if its not its factory unlocked or atleast legal unlock. Oh and it should take any standard sims :)
Heard somewhere iP4 is getting launched in India next month. Cant remember the source now.

Hiya,
I had been to Croma yesterday and casually asked about the iPhone 4's launch in India. The Apple sales representative there claimed it will launch in a month's time. He wasn't aware of any tentative pricing though.

^^ ofcourse it will in a months time. June is coming and so is WWDC where the new iphone 5 is expected to be launched. India like always has been a dump ground for apple and its products !
Why now, when the Iphone 4 is due for replacement in a few months??
Nope dont expect iPhone 5 this time around, max might be a 4S and announcement of iOS5, which should work on iPhone 4 also.

Quite an improvement then from earlier times when they would have no clue at all. Ironically, they all say "next month".

iPhone 5 is doubtful to be launched at the WWDC next month. Since the Verizon iPhone was launched in Feb, Apple would want the Verizon users to have a "current" iPhone for little longer. This is just a rumour. With iPad 2 launching in India within a month from the US release date, the dump ground theory maybe true but not for all Apple products. The iPhone is probably the one that always makes it late to India. iPod, Macbook, iMac and now the iPad all seem to be launched in India within a month of their US launch dates.
If the next version of iPhone/iOS comes, I am sure 3GS would not be supported. So registered myself :)
This doesnt indicate I am going to get it from Airtel/Vodafone/Aircel.
Yesterday i have updated my iPhone4 with iOS 4.3.3.
The iPhone5 news might be a Rumour and nothing officially announced by Apple or other popular Tech forum/Sites.
They might showcase the iOS5 and not the iPhone 5, that is what the rumor says. Also a possibility of iPhone 4S with the same processor as iPad. Just rumors :)
iPhone 5 has also been delayed because of the Japan crisis. Sony accidentally revealed this when they mentioned that their plant in Japan is affected and Apple is their customer for a purportedly 8 MP camera sensor.
iPhone 5 will most likely be launched in September, according to John Gruber.
Updated my 3GS to 4.3.3
No sign of changes what so ever. No change in battery life too.
