Thanks Raghu. Guess that's the kind of thing mentioned
here, though they dont mention the time. Mine is JB phone and I hope not to do that again until IOS 5
Another thing it talks about is, you may need to sync with itunes. Guess thats the worst case scenario.
Anybody here having issues with the battery draining out too fast after upgrading to iOS 4.3.5?

Not me but then I keep BT and personal hotspot switched off always. Have you changed any settings recently? Did you try a reboot?
One thing I've observed is that if you frequently move between areas which have coverage and which don't then the battery usage is more.
Edit: for what it is worth - am on iP4.

Its just been 3 weeks since I started using Iphone 4 with 4.3.5 and the battery lasts for about one and a half day with normal usage, which includes about 2 hours of talking, 40-50 SMS, 2 hours of browsing over wifi and one hour gaming every day. This is my first iPhone, should I be concerned regarding the battery?

I can tell you my experience and habit.
I use it mostly for gaming and browsing. Don't get too many calls(well ok I don't mind it) and my battery gets drained quickly.
All my previous experience with iPhones make me be near a power source most of the times - which is not very difficult.
Edit: Hey nice tag line. Wish this was embossed on windshield of every car ;)

I keep everything on - except for the personal hotspot option. But I've kept everything on for the last year (ever since I got the phone) and the battery life has never been this bad. I've tried rebooting the phone too, but that's made no difference. No settings have been changed recently either.
Do you use the location services on your phone?

Well, the battery life was fairly good on my phone since I upgraded to iOS 4.3.5. It used to get me through the entire day with a fair amount of usage.

So from what I've read, someone has suggested resetting the phone by pressing the sleep and home button simultaenously till you see the apple icon show up on your screen. I've done that now. I'm going to see if that fixes the issue. The person who has suggested this fix claims that apparently the phone wasn't really going to sleep when you hit the sleep button - something like a bug after the upgrade to 4.3.5.
But there are also reports of the email sync acting up - apparently is syncing continuously (rather than every 15, 30 or 60 mins). I've got a couple of email accounts synced up, but I'm going to hold off deleting and re-syncing these profiles for now. But, if the first solution doesn't work, I may be forced to...

You could tweak the settings as per the recommendations on the Apple website. Might prove helpful.

Yes very much, I charge my IPhone 3GS regularly from my Punto's 12V socket. Only thing is you should buy a good quality charger. What I use is Griffin Powerjolt (2.0 Amps) bought from Amazon.com. This charger is a must for me since I use the navigation App in the iPhone quite often.
