On the flip side, the battery seems to be draining faster. So not much in terms of improvement.

Regarding precautions to be taken, Backup your data or whatever you want back on your device before updating.

Thanks for the reply. Do I have to use iCloud to backup my device? I do not want to use iCloud. I guess I could use iTunes. Need to check that.

You can backup to iTunes. I did the update of 4S to iOS6, and I don't use iCloud as well.

I m not planning to upgrade to ios6 simply coz I don't like to loose google maps app. I ll wait for google to launch the app. Cosmetic changes can wait.

I backed up to both iCloud & iTunes to be on the safer side but backing up to only iTunes should be fine too.

At 26.5K, Iphone 4 8GB seems like a good buy

Yes at this price it is a good buy but I would still suggest to go in for 4S instead. It would be 16GB, have better hardware & software support.

Update on nano-sim:

And the pre-order rumor:

Just spoke to a person from Reliance iStore.

The iPhone 4S 16 GB is now available at 38,000/-. I had actually asked him they have the Apple Recycle program in India, to which he (obviously) said no.

Checked several shops here - iPhone 4S 32 GB is out of stock pretty much everywhere including I stores, Imagine reseller, Croma etc.

16GB is available at 38000 odd. 64GB is available at 56000 odd.
Sangeetha Mobile Store seems to have some stock of 32GB iPhone 4S at Rs 50150/- each.

I am surprised that while they have dropped the 16GB price, they havent dropped the 32GB price yet.

I am not interested in I5 because they gone and changed the dock connectors and I cannot use the I5 with my existing home ipod / ipad docking stations and music station etc.

So Im thinking now, to tell someone to buy it in DXB or somewhere for me. It costs only 38500 or so for the 32GB there.
Maybe I should not have hesitated last week when I was there!!

You can get the converter pin, and iPhone in general has some quirks with connectivity, not all devices that support iPods support iPhones.

However my sound dock works perfectly with my ipod touch, ipad2 and will work perfectly with the iphone4s but not with i5. I dont want to carry different chargers etc all the time. Very painful.

Sorry for the back to back posts. I just bought an iphone 4s 32gb online and I am expecting it over the next few days.
Can someone help guide me in moving all the data across from the Nokia N8 to the iphone?

Looking forward to purchase iPhone 4 from Saholic.com
Can anybody please tell me how is the site and their delivery process.

There seems to be quite a price difference between the iPhone 4 8gb and 4s 16gb (26.5k vs 38k) as compared to the 100 dollar difference for the respective unlocked phones models in the states.
Don't you guys think the iPhone 4s has some scope for a further reduction in price when the i5 is out officially?

The iphone 4 is a really good deal now,in my opinion. :D

Would you maybe want to check out Tradus? I just used their site for a 32GB 4S last night at a nice price.
Expecting it in ten days time.
