Nope. After the upgrade to iOS 6 the paid apps still showed in dollars for me.

Is your Apple ID registered as US or India, if its India then only it will show in Rupees.

It is very much registered in India. I don't know if this change happened recently, because I very well remember I was searching for an app last week and the App Store was showing the prices in dollars.

You need to check it now, this change has happened mostly last week and was also mentioned in the TV news with iPhone 5 launch, nonetheless just check the App Store again most likely you will see ever cost in rupees including iCloud space extension from free 5GB to paid 25GB/50GB plans!

Yes Rs in iTunes happened last week. It was in news. And finally my Nano sim got activated! With working 3G.

Tried the new headphones and they are remarkable for their size. These guys are just too good with hardware innovation. Have to give it to them fan boy or not :p

Yeah, I also think its new with this update. Here in Singapore, the app rates are now shown in SGD.

Indeed. I was very happy with my WP Mango until I was forced to use an iPhone for a few days. But after that the iPhone became a habit, and the HTC was relegated as a backup/travel phone :)

Was forced to buy an iPhone (bought a 4) as my office requires it in case you want to BYOD for email.
Frankly have not kept it down. My blackberry is now sulking in a corner with my backup number for company.
It is so intuitive Nd easy to use.
Upgraded to iOS6 had some issues with not being able to connect to iTunes which I was able to resolve.
Overall feel it is a good investment and certianly made a believer out of me.

Got the 4 because felt it is vfm at just 26k.

Any news on the 4s prices slashing down ?
Or are they still being sold at the same price in Delhi/NCR

If it helps at all. A really good friend of mine picked up his iPhone 4S 16gb in feb this year for 41k from a shop in dlf galleria, when mrp at airtel, croma, reliance digital was 44-44.5k. The trick is small retail shops give good discounts.
Now, with the launch of the 5, the iphone 4S has a suggested retail of 38.5k. Expect the street prices of the iPhone 4S to be 3-4 thousand less. :)

Also, what do you guys think of buying an iPhone 4 now?
I am planning a phone change in december. The ~26k price is really tempting. Not willing to spend more than that on a phone. I already own an ipod touch and ipad2. What do you guys think? Would I be better off buying something else than something which has been around for a while?

A few pictures taken with my iPhone 4S at the Ooty Gymkhana Golf Course last week.
They are huge in size and hence I have significantly reduced them for ease of uploading.
Its 8mp camera is excellent.
The pictures look really beautiful when viewed on my ipad, ipod or mac air or the iphone itself.
Yes the 12mp camera of the N8 was and is superb. But I think the iphone matches it more or less.
The iphone is far nicer to hold and use on a day to day basis. The apps are also excellent.
The wi fi and even the email service through my current 2G connection are excellent - in fact the download speed and general interface on the iPhone is better than I ever had on my N8.
All in all, as of this moment, a very happy purchase!

Apple unlikely to approve Google Maps app for iOS.

Congrats! I am planning to get mine in the next few days.

Can you tell me if you got the black one? That's what I was planning to get but the internet is buzzing with news of the black one having it's paint chipped off pretty easily.

Precisely the reason why i picked white :) See its anodized aluminum, it will get scratched eventually but i felt the silver/white one will be able to carry it better than a dark color.
